Anthony's rich combination of backgrounds in the visual arts allows for an approach that does not depend on a formula. For commissioned portraits, every assignment is individually considered, and the factors that go to make a meaningful portrait brought together in the most appropriate visual style. Each commission provides me with the opportunity to create something uniquely rich.

When possible, time is taken with my client(s) beforehand, without cameras, but with at most an iPhone for visual notes, the equivalent of a sketchbook in drawings or paintings. Large traditional paper contact sheets of all useable photographs are supplied shortly after the sitting. Finished prints are made in consultation, using the most sympathethic papers to suit the subject. These are very often the modern equivalent of the darkroom materials I used in the 1960's, 70's and 80's.
